Frozen Dirt Pie

Yield
8 servings

Ingredients
1 ½  cups milk * 375 mL
1 pkg instant chocolate pudding (4 serving size) 92 g
1 cup whipping cream 250 mL
7 chocolate sandwich cookies, ground              (makes approximately 1 cup/250 mL) 7
1 ½  cups rocks** 375 mL
1 graham cracker pie crust or chocolate wafer crust 1
gummy worms or gum drop flowers for garnish (optional)

Directions
Pour milk into medium bowl. Add pudding mix. Beat with wire whisk or hand mixer until well blended for 1 to 2 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes. Whip cream until soft peaks form. Fold into pudding. Fold in ¾ cup of the ground cookies and the “rocks” into pudding mixture. Spoon into pie crust. Sprinkle with remaining cookies. Freeze until firm, about 4 hours, or refrigerate for several hours. If freezing the pie, let stand 10-15 minutes before serving. Garnish with gum drop flowers or gummy worms, if desired. For best results, prepare pie one day in advance.

** For rocks, use any combination of the following: Chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, granola bar chunks, etc. Add pieces of fruit and call it a “buried treasure”. CAUTION: Do not use hard candies or other foods that could cause choking in small children.
