Join hundreds of schools across Manitoba in the promotion of milk as part of a healthy diet. Studies show that well-nourished students do better in school.
Students learn better and are more alert when they are well-fed with a balance of foods from the four food groups.
The four food groups, including Milk and Alternatives, represent the core of Canada’s Food Guide as recommended by Health Canada.
The Elementary School Milk Program, offered by Dairy Farmers of Manitoba at no cost, encourages students to drink milk every day by making it fun and rewarding.
To participate in the School Milk Program, schools must be either serving milk presently, or purchase the necessary equipment and begin serving milk.
All students can participate. Each time your students drink milk at school, bring milk to school from home, or drink milk at home during their lunch hour,
they can fill out a ballot for a chance to win fun milk reminders.
